Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef, lean
- 1 1/2 Tbs Honey BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbs sugar substitute
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 6 Tbs flour
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 dash garlic powder
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F .
- Combine tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, and sugar substitute in a small saucepan. Over medium heat, stir the mixture until it begins to bubble. Remove.
- In a large bowl, add all but 2 tablespoons of the sauce to the meat. Use a spoon or hands to work the sauce into the meat until it is very well combined.
- Combine remaining ingredients with meat. Use spoon or hands to work spices and flour into the meat.
- Load meat into loaf pan. Wrap foil over pan and put in oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil; drain fat. Using a knife, slice into 8 slices. Pour remaining sauce over the top. Don’t spread. Place back in the oven, uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
Cook’s Notes
This came out so sweet that it’s almost like a desert rather than part of a main dish.
