Pizza Casserole

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef, lean
  • 2 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 2 oz mozzarella cheese, part skim milk, shredded
  • 10 oz pizza dough, refrigerated
  • cooking spray
  • mushroom, optional
  • spinach, optional

Instructions:

  1. Brown the meat in a skillet and drain.
  2. Add the spaghetti sauce and heat until warm.
  3. in a 9×13 pan, spray with cooking spray and stretch pizza dough on the bottom.
  4. Cover dough with half of the cheese.
  5. Pour meat mixture into pan.
  6. Bake at 415F for 12 minutes.
  7. Add the remaining cheese to the top and bake another 5 minutes.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Cook’s Note
This does not freeze well — the crust is somewhat soggy upon reheating after being frozen.

Add whatever vegetables you like on your pizza to satisfy that take-out craving.
