Devilishly Good Turtle Fudge Cake

Servings: 12

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of Devil’s Food Cake mix plus ingredients to make cake
  • 1 small bag of milk chocolate morsels
  • 12 oz caramel ice cream topping, divided and warmed
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 9″x13″ baking pan with cooking oil.
  2. Mix cake per instructions on box.
  3. Pour half of batter into baking pan.
  4. Bake 15 – 20 minutes, until cake has started to set.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate morsels, 1/2 the caramel, and pecans over partially baked cake. Pour remainder of batter over partially cooked cake, morsels, caramel, and pecans.
  6. Bake 30 – 35 minutes or until cake tester is cleanly inserted and cake is baked through.
  7. Drizzle remaining caramel over top.

Cook’s Suggestion
For a fancier presentation, bake this in a fluted pan and flip onto a platter before drizzling the carmel over the top.
