Crocked Spiced Apples

Serves 4.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large Gala apples peeled, cored, sliced or coarsely chopped
  • 2/3 cup Splenda
  • 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Mix sliced apples with Splenda, and cinnamon until evenly
    coated. Put mixture in crockpot.
  2. Pour lemon juice over apples and add vanilla.
  3. Add boiling water.
  4. Cook on high for one hour.

    Serving Suggestions
    Top with 2 tbsp fat-free Cool Whip or 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.

    Or serve over a cup of fat-free plain yogurt.
